| picked-up my 05 600RR today I got the all black one. Nice and stealthy. I rode it around the nieborhood (its 20 deg. here) and just noticed a few things. The fuel injection is smooth like butter. Amazing. Doesn't do much til you get over 8k but is very linear beyond that. Huge brakes. Tight suspension, which I like since I'm about 225 lbs. Fit and finish is typical Honda perfection. Mirrors are semi-usable. The throttle feels like a reostat. Response is instant. There's no space under the passenger pillion (duh). Unlike the 1000RR you can remove the rear pegs without fooling with the rear brake resevoir. I don't think I'll change the pipe. It's surprisingly loud for a stock system. I think I'll leave the whole thing stock and just ride it. I'm looking forward to getting it on the track. |

| Re: picked-up my 05 600RR today Congrats on the new ride motojedi! I personally tried going back to a 600 F4i after a 900, and another 600 before that. Just didn't work for me, but that's just me. I like the low and mid-range too much. Are you gonna race it? |

If you bring it to Grattan, ND4 will school you in it's dual-sport heritage. |

| Re: picked-up my 05 600RR today No plans to race it but it will see plenty of track days. I went with the 600 instead of the 1000 because of the tracks I ride. Grattan, Gingerman, and Putnam Park. With the exception of the front straight at Putnam, I think the 6 is as good or maybe even a better choice than the thou.
What's funny is to ride this little thing after riding my Boxer Cup (90hp and 525 lbs.) The 6 feels like a pocket bike.........with a rocket strapped to it.
I'll pass on the dual-sporting. I tried that once with an RC and some help from a road-raging Buick driver. Didn't work so hot.

| Re: picked-up my 05 600RR today Congratulations!! I'm reading the first ride report in Bike just now, and so far they have nothing but nice things to say about it The cover has a big picture of it and the text says "Ouch! The legend bites back" .
I have considered to trade in my 929 for a new "baby blade", but since my insurance won't be any lower with the 600, and the trade inn price I will get on the 929 will be pretty low (due to the difficult insurance market over here) I think I will ride my beloved 929 for yet another summer..
Enjoy the new bike, wear gear, and be safe!! |

Bring it down to Florida. You will put some miles on it here. Riding season is year long.

Enjoy the new bike, wear gear, and be safe!! | That reminds me, I went to State Farm for Insurance. (fwiw) $30 /mo. for full coverage and a $500 deductible.
As far as gear goes, I'm an ATGATT'er. All The Gear, All The Time.
Thanks for the invite to Florida. Have they installed in turns in your state yet? |

| Re: picked-up my 05 600RR today Excellent choice! That's probably the only bike I'd consider selling my 929 for these days.
You live in Indianapolis? You definitely have to join us at the Fireblades@Grattan event!

Congrats on the new ride. Those are sweet, especially the all-black. Great reviews all around from what I've seen. It'll be nice to see the full middleweight comparos in the coming months to see whether the new offerings from Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki can overtake last year's leader - the Gixxer 600. I think you made a good choice with the Honda, although that new ZX-6R is pretty sweet. |
