600RR Corbin seat does NOT fit 1000RR. In other news, 600rr seat for sale

Maybe I should have put this in for sale thread but I wanted some discussion. Here's the situation:

The Corbin I bought is for a 600RR. I knew this when I bought it but I assumed that the 2 were interchangeable. I went to install it today and the holes don't line up. Also, the bottom of the seat doesn't sit flush with the fairing. I was thinking of having custom brackets machined but then it still wouldn't look right. So I guess I'll sell my 600RR seat and try to get a 1000rr seat. Anyone know a 600RR owner who would be interested? I paid 180 USD plus shipping on ebay for the seat. It's in great condition, slightly used. I'll take any reasonable offer. Zoltan?

I know it's an indian. It looks like some of the sights I used to see coming out of the hotels in the wee hours of the morning on Jasper Avenue in Edmonton.

Well for starters the ebay auction I bought it from said that it fits a 1000rr. I emailed the guy and it is an honest mistake. I don't think I'll have any trouble selling it but I'll probably lose a bit of money.

I thought the 600rr and the 1000rr had the same seat. It isn't even close.

Conq, I'll bet for sure that the engines between the 2 bikes don't interchange as well! What do you think?
