Track bike question CBR F3

Hello,
I just purchased a 98 CBR 600 F3 and I wanted to make it track ready for track days. Was wondering if there is some kind of race/track wiring harness? I'm not going to need all the wires for the light turnsignals etc. I'm noob at this and it's gonna be a project till next year. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Track bike question CBR F3

Yes, HRC made a harness for it. I doubt HRC makes or any distributor stocks them any longer. You could cut all the wires out, but my question is why?
That bike will never be competitive to the point that saving a few more ounces will help any. Just run the stock harness. Clip off the extra connectors if you're really that worried about it, but don't waste your money on a harness. Spend the money on things that matter like brake lines, suspension and tires.

Re: Track bike question CBR F3

Lol, yea. I figured that out when i yanked all the plasics off and tossed the lights. This is going to be a learning process for me.
Btw, whats the deal with the rear shock? Holy cow! The only two I could find were the Ohlin (700 bucks!) and the fox. The fox is less expensive, but the fox website says they have stopped porduction on streetbike shocks. Anyone know of a cheaper alternitive?
Thanks.
