| Re: How can I get more power Uh, unless you are totally in love with this bike for some reason, for the amount of money you'd spend modding it, you could sell it and buy a newer one.
It would have more power, along with better brakes/suspension/chassis. |

| Re: How can I get more power I also have a 96F3. I think it's easy to over spend the bike... meaning you don't have to try too hard before you have more money into the bike then you initially spent to buy the bike. I would look into jet kits and pipes as a relatively affordable way to gain a bit more power. You may find yourself spending a grand or two in order to gain 10hp. I have dropped a tooth in the front and done the 520 chain conversion. I think this gives the illusion of more power because it changes the power curve and makes the power earlier but not necessarily more power. Gotta admit, for a 10 year old bike they're still a blast! |

| Re: How can I get more power For me the F2/F3 was the bike I first fell in love with. An F2 was the first bike I ever rode on and was determined to get one. As a first bike the F3 was perfect and after riding for 4 years now I have learned a lot that I don't think I would have been as comfortable learning on different bikes. I did my first track day last year and am doing Grattan again this year... I think the F3 was perfect for learning to ride on a track but alas.... she'll be replaced by a younger sexier RR eventually. I bought it for 3400 in 2002 and have put about that much into it since. Starting to overspend the bike |

| Re: How can I get more power Just in case anyone is looking to pick up a 96F3 for trackdays. No reasonable offer will be refused. |
