Need tires?

I am getting ready to buy a new set of tires and was wondering whats good out there. I would like to know if any one has tried or is trying the Michelins Pilot Power or Roads. I currently have an old set of Dunlops D207's 120 front/170 rear. Also would U stick with the 170 or go back to 160 rears?
Thanks,
96cbrf3

Re: Need tires?

Check one of the million other threads concerning this subject. Otherwise round tires work best.

Re: Need tires?

a Gazillion threads about tires have been started, but Pilot Powers are a fan favorite around here.

Ask BDA about what size tire to run on an F3, as I believe he has a wicked ton of experience on them.

Re: Need tires?

Yeah, we actually spooned 180s on our bikes. You'll get your naysayers, but it will fit and it will work fine. It does raise the rear up a bit, but it helps the steering of that bike. I greatly preferred the 180 to the 170 when racing the F3.

Re: Need tires?

Agreed. I went with BDA's advice last year on my F3 and switched to 180 rears, they fit and ran great.

Re: Need tires?

Pilot Powers rule. I've heard good stuff about the Pirelli Diablo Corsas and the new Dunlop Qualifiers are getting nice reviews (I kinda want to try them even though I don't like Dunlops)
