Re: Transmission noise???

If I am reading that right, it sounds like you just have the typical clutch noise. It gets louder as the parts wear, and yes you can adjust your clutch cable at two places. That big dial on your lever where the cable comes out, and a set of two nuts where it attaches down on the clutch side of the engine.
How many miles are on that clutch pack? It may be time for new plates.

Re: Transmission noise???

Sure, that big dial where the cable exits your lever locks against the housing so the small dail doesn't turn. Free the big one, turn the little on to take out slack. Just like bicycle cables.
If you find it's already adjusted fully and can't take out any more slack, down on the clutch side of the engine the cable attaches to a little arm. Just before that it sits in a bracket with adjusting nuts. Same deal - free the lock nut and adjust with the other until slack is where you like.
Just remember to leave a little bit of play in the lever, otherwise the clutch won't be able to fully engage.
Replacing the clutch pack is a little more involved than that.
