| Re: Transmission noise??? Sure, that big dial where the cable exits your lever locks against the housing so the small dail doesn't turn. Free the big one, turn the little on to take out slack. Just like bicycle cables.
If you find it's already adjusted fully and can't take out any more slack, down on the clutch side of the engine the cable attaches to a little arm. Just before that it sits in a bracket with adjusting nuts. Same deal - free the lock nut and adjust with the other until slack is where you like.
Just remember to leave a little bit of play in the lever, otherwise the clutch won't be able to fully engage.
Replacing the clutch pack is a little more involved than that. |
