| Re: How to change the air filter on CBR600RR Well, you have to start with the plastic tank cover (the pretty bodywork piece). I can't really walk you through how to take that off properly as most of the plastic on my 600RR was messed up when I bought it, so I didn't waste my time taking the fastners out. I just pulled it off and removed bolts from the frame later.
Once that is off, and the side panels from the tailsection, there will be two 12mm bolts down where your knees would be when riding. Take those out, and tilt the tank up. Hold it in place with a bungee cord or something.
Now you get to take off the ECU holder, then unplug the four top fuel injectors, the MAP sensor on top next to the ECU, the connector on the right die for the stop switch and move all the wiring out of the way. Now there are the screws holding the top of the airbox to the bottom piece.
Now you can take the airbox lid off let it hang off the side of the bike. Three screws hold the filter in the airbox.
Now reverse the process and don't miss anything.
