Clickety Clutch!

The clutch on my 00' CBR 600 F4 makes a transmission clicking noise when the bike is in neutral and the clutch is free. I have read many of the older threads on this forum and it seem like this is pretty normal.

I wanted to ask if that were true and also ask why my clutch only grabs at the last second of being released.

Thanks,
Matt

Re: Clickety Clutch!

All clutches are a little noisy. Your cable is probably stretched and just needs to be adjusted. You can set the engage point anywhere you want, really as long as you leave a bit of slack for it to fully engage.
It may help with some of the noise as well.

Re: Clickety Clutch!

Thanks dude, I'll try it and let you know! I adjust it on the bottom end of the cable right? then adjust the slack on the lever knob? I wanna make sure I do it right.

Thanks,
Matt

Re: Clickety Clutch!

Yep. Get most of the slack out down by the clutch cover, then fine adjust at the knob on the clutch lever.
