Gas mileage Help

My 2001 cbr f4I takes 15 bucks to fill with high test gas and I seem to only reach about 250 kms to the tank.
Does this seem low for gas mileage, Maybe I was hoping for a bit of a better number.

Any ideas or spec's you might get from your bikes. I just bought this a week ago and loving every minute of it.

Dave

Re: Gas mileage Help

On a bone stock F4 I got near 200 miles till the fuel light came on, riding on the highway taking it easy.

I have heard of the F4i getting far worse fuel mileage becuase of the fuel injection, and I'm not converting to KM's for you.

Re: Gas mileage Help

I could be wrong but I think regular 87 fuel is ok in an F4i.

I also get around 250km on my 99 cbr f4, using 91 octane.

Re: Gas mileage Help

you think thats bad, try riding my bike for awhile. I've had it for a couple months and finally reached the 35mpg mark with the last tank. put some Techron fuel system cleaner in it, that seemed to help as before I was seeing 115miles when the light came on. now I see over 130 (current tank is over 120 right now and no light and I was beating it up pretty good).

and if you really wanna get an idea of bad ride a superhawk.

try some techron cleaner and see if it gets any better.
