f2 engine swap

kinda new here.. im wondering if anybody could answer some questions for me on engine fitment. i have a 94 cbr 600f2 i was wondering what engines are drop in replacements for mine. i assume 91-94 600's are? can the f3 engines be bolted in? f4? what about a bigger engine, say a 900?? any information would be great.. thanks james

The F3 engine will bolt right in, but you'd be better off with the wiring harness and ecm from an F3 as well.
You can shoehorn a 900RR engine in as well - with the proper harness and ecm, but it isn't a direct bolt-in. There is some work to be done.
I don't know what exactly as it has been over a decade since I helped a buddy put a 900RR engine into his F3.
I doubt the F4 is difficult to put in, but any time you are switching to a different model engine you'll need the full thing, including wiring harness and ecm.

**** i wonder how hard that 900 swap would be? i am a proficient welder. hmmm any one have any idea?
