| The rebuild... Well, here's the known needed parts list so far:
Rearsets
Clipons
Fairing stay
Master cylinder
Frame sliders
Windscreen
Gauge cluster face plate
Tail cowl will probably need replacement because it's pretty loose...Maybe I can work some magic with some zip ties.
The top of the left fork is definitely tweaked. I didn't see any kinks in the metal so it's possible that it can be straightened. The top triple is also tweaked for sure.
This is all I know of so far. I swapped the rearsets out today and hope to get the master cylinder swapped and the brakes bled Monday night. Made an appointment with a local performance shop for Saturday to get it measured by their Computrack. |

| Re: The rebuild... Which frame sliders are you using? I'm finishing removal of my Vortex sliders this evening and have a full set if you want them (if the 1krr sliders will fit the 600rr). If just the pucks fit, you can have those. |

Check the new sponsor Uncaged on the frame sliders, they're gonna have some 600RR units pretty soon. |

Check the new sponsor Uncaged on the frame sliders, they're gonna have some 600RR units pretty soon. | I got Vortex rearsets again...found an absolute steal on a used set. They're not perfect but they'll get the job done. I got Woodcraft clipons, but they're off an 05 so they don't fit my forks, that's why I put the WTB ad up for OEM's. I did scope out the Uncaged sliders and I really like the design. Depending on when he'll have them ready I'll either get those or the Woodcraft ones. Quote: |

| Re: The rebuild... Dropped her off at the shop Saturday. They called me a little while ago and gave the damage report. The front end is twisted, but can be straightened and the subframe is also tweaked which can also be straightened. It'll be an absolute miracle if I can make Grattan |

If you had to buy a new front end and subframe, then I would say yes, divine intervention may be needed, but straightening is usually pretty cost effective.

| Re: The rebuild... Well, I've also decided to put a little softer springs in. Something inbetween what OEM was and what's in there currently. I couldn't get the desired amount of sag(40mm) out of the forks. I think I lost more weight than expected this winter or the scale was lying to me. |

He would also be doing video duty and fetching for folks (of course to rent him they would have to pay me in Maple ) So he had better get it fixed so he can be on the track |

| Re: The rebuild... No helmet yet. I've got a ~3 1/2yr old Astral that I'll probably use for the remainder of the season.
I'll have to evaluate how the bodywork fits after the repairs have been made. The tail was pretty loose, it may have to be replaced. The rest *should* be ok.
Still need frame sliders, and a brake lever(the adjuster popped out). |

| Re: The rebuild... How bad is your subframe tweaked? Mine is tweaked a bit, but I don't really care. It's pretty much a place for your butt and nothing else, so if it's close don't waste your money on bending it back. |
