2004 cbr600f4i frame sliders...

i just purchased a pair of lockhart phillips frame sliders for my 2004 honda cbr600f4i. i installed them and they do not look like they stick out from the fairing enough. on the right side the measurement is 7/8ths of an inch and on the left side it is 9/16ths of an inch. i compared them with my sons 2005 susuki gsxr600 lockhart phillips frame sliders and his measures 2-1/8 inches on the right side and 1-11/16ths of an inch on the left. it does not seem that mine would protect very much if the bike should be slid. i am debating on whether to return these or not but thought i would run this by all of you to see what your thoughts are on this. i appreciate any comments suggestions.
take care...
louis

I have the same frame sliders on my 2001 F4i track bike. I wouldn't worry about the frame sliders needing to protrude from the bike too much. Keep in mind that frame sliders are there to protect your "frame", not all the other bits that you think it should protect.

Didn't everyone suggest Intuitive sliders when you asked about them originally?

Re: 2004 cbr600f4i frame sliders...

no one suggested that brand. i actually had a diamond powersports set but just returned them because they would not fit. two months went by and i was in touch with diamond powersports where i even provided them with detailed drawing with dimensions but still it was not done right so i was forced to return them. so i went to a local dealer to get these lockhart phillips ones since one of my sons who has a susuki gsxr600 had these.
it was such a crazy thing what i went through with these sliders. but now they are on.
