Engine cuts out?

Whenever I turn the handlebars on my F2 to the left the engine immediately dies, along with all of the other dash lights and everything for about a 1/2 second or so. The lights come back on and it starts easily. Its a wrecked bike, so it could theoretically be anything, but and ideas on where to start? I was working on it all afternoon, but I noticed this just before I put it away for the night.

I am guessing a wire is grounding to the frame or something similar?? Any ideas where to start?

Start at the ignition, and the kill switch. Electrical demons are a bitch, be prepared- and good luck.

You will need to get some room to work on this electrical problem, heat shrink tubing, a soldering iron, and wire strippers. Pull on the wires that are affected. There will be at least one that will stretch at one point as the conductors are broken. You will know what to do from there.

That was my first place to look as well is to check on the cutout switch. It's been too hot to do much lately, but I have the wiring diagram as I finished tracing all the turn signal wires. I don't have the wiring in front of me, but do these older models ('94) have angle sensors like the newer bikes?
