oil change question

My bike has been sitting for 4 months. I filled it up and put staflo in it, put fresh oil in it and took the batt out to be charged once a week. Main question is will I need to re change the oil before first start up or will it be ok. Thanks

Re: oil change question

You'll get alot of answers on this, so be ready

I'd treat full synthetic differently then dino. If you put fresh quality oil in before you stored it I wouldn't worry. I'd just change it a bit early this time around, like 1000 miles or so. Really depends what you used for oil though.

Re: oil change question

I wouldn't worry to much if it hasn't been run with that oil and it is synthetic (real synthetic). run it 1k or 2 then change it.

it's a honda no worries.

Re: oil change question

The oil should be fine. but before you start thrashing the bike crank it over and make sure you coat the clutch with oil.

The top of the clutch plates could dry out a little as the oil would'nt be immersed on the whole clutch plate
