Exactly. The more flow, the more noise. Unless it's D&D...

Re: Whats the best flowing But Quiet Exhaust

all aftermarket pipes are loud compared to stock, some are just alot louder then others. I have a D&D slip on and a Vance and Hines slip on....I picked them both up for under $100 on ebay but haven't got a chance to put on either as my bike has been in the shop for the last month

Everyone on this forum says D&D sucks.....but too me I like it, but I like loud pipes that annoy the old folks

Re: Whats the best flowing But Quiet Exhaust

My buddy has a Yosh RS-5 full system. The first can he had (replaced after being rear-ended) was loud as hell. The mid pipe and can itself were replaced and the new can is much more quiet. It has two pipes inside of the exhaust tip. I don't know if that's how they're being manufactured now as this is the first I have seen like this. Don't get me wrong, it's louder and deeper than stock, but huge difference between the first can and the second.

Ultra loud and less power than stock what is to like. People like you are the ones that get the rest of us banned by condo/homeowner associations and such.

Re: Whats the best flowing But Quiet Exhaust

Probably as long as you're not revving your bike to 11K or going WOT through the neighborhood, you'll be fine with an aftermarket exhaust. (except D&D)

If you're that worried about it, stick with stock like others have said. You'd have to have a pretty finely tuned ass-dyno to tell a difference with a slip on anyway.

Re: Whats the best flowing But Quiet Exhaust

Sport Rider-motorcycle sport bike exhaust pipe sound clips

check out this link....it will give you an idea. If you have strict sound ordnance in your area then you are better off sticking with stock because cops can be dickheads....espically if they don't like bikers
