| Is this a good deal a 2006 honda cbr 600rr with 1000 miles, stock, bought brand new last april and a guy wants to sell it for $7300. I'm thinking of making him an offer for $6000 cash. What do you think? Even though it's black but I don't mind it. I really liked the orange tribal edition but not too many people have it. Also, what should I check for when getting a used bike? How can I assure that its engine and parts are in great condition?
Dang, I cannot wait for winter to be over to start riding. |

| Re: Is this a good deal If it's any help, a local dealer here is selling brand new '06 600RRs for $7399. So, I think your offer is reasonable. Of course, if I were the seller, I'd want more, but I'd think between $6000-$6500 is fair, given a new one is available for $7399.
Listen to it run and see that it sounds ok. Check it over for any signs that it's been down. |

| Re: Is this a good deal I think $6k is a fair price, $7400 and you could walk out the door with a new one from the dealer.....If he wont go down to atleast $6500 I personally wouldnt buy it becuase he is asking to much. Thats the thing people buy these bikes ride them for less then a year and then want what they paid for them.......You cant do that with a car so what makes them think they can with a bike? |

| Re: Is this a good deal If it only has 1000 miles, unless the oil has been drained and then the bike ridden and crashed, everything should be pretty darn cherry on that thing... in theory. $6000-6500 sounds fair to me. |

| Re: Is this a good deal The guys sais if I buy the bike now he'll go down to $6500, you think I can push him more. Man it would be nice for $5500. Dang, if it were just the color I want I would buy right now. Black so plain, only reason preventing me from getting, how much would it cost to add some nice color to it like the orange tribal edition? |

| Re: Is this a good deal The price sounds really fair, I was lucky enough to get the tribal, but that is a good price to pay, with only 1000 miles. Just look for any cosmetic damage and listen to it! Try to haggle too much and you'll be paying a lot more for a 2007, and they don't have the tribal goin! I'll trade ya plastics and tank, I'm getting way too much attention with the orange and black...lol |

and 6500 doesn't sound to bad. | I have been reading reviews like crazy and I'm getting the idea that getting a 07 is not worth the extra cash unless I'm going to be going to a track. But for street riding 06 would be just fine. Do you agree? |
