| Rear seat release cable broken, can't open trunk! One day after a ride, I tried to open my trunk via key/cable release. The key turned the lock, but I tell that there no longer was any resistance pulling against the lock.
Basically I think the cable that was hooked into the lock must've come loose. I had installed a fender eliminator kit a while ago and also re-positioned the lock. Something must've happened to knock the cable free.
Anyways, does anyone know of a way to remove the rear seat without using the cable release? The only way I can think of is to just cut the seat in half with a dremel but that seems like a good waste of a seat (and money).
Any ideas please?
