Aussie with a sick 600 (electrical)

Here's the deal yo, and peace love and cbr-ness to you and your kind.
I ride my 2005 600RR like a bmx. spin it on its stand when parked for easy exit. I care fir her but she is essentially my city bike for bitching out traffic and the like.

She has a disease and i need help to protect her from the demons of the dollar dollar bills ya'll

there's this notoriously long standing traffic light where it's not stupid to wack it in neutral and put the stand down and wait, it takes that bloody long to change to green its bollox i tell you anyway, light suddenly goes green,......stand her up..... kick her little stand up and bang into 1st....phrump pooof. all gone. died there and then and said goodbye to me.

started up..just

two weeks later... rolling down a hill to a red light, slip her in N, take ye old hands off the bars and have a stretch whilst braking genlty with my foot. ahhaoooooh nice stretch, ligths getting a little closer bujt not as close as that car... clutch in brake and 1st. pruph poof bang pheckingf died as if i'd hit the kill switch myself, and this time no start. had to get a jump but she hasn't had prob starting again since.
put her on the trickle charger to check the battery level. full light came on in five minutes.
ride her in the morning tomorrow and i'm sure she will start up fine. weather or not it shorts out on me in the middle of traffic somewhere is most def the question.

HELP..........

Has my spining it on the stand repeatadly, some how loosened up the cut off switch attached to the stand and is now causing a short somehow somewhere ?

It is a new battery coz this was happening a month ago and stayed in the local honda shop for nearly two weeks just for them to tell me its got nothing wrong with it.
they tested the stator and the rectifier and told me all was good but still she falls ill on me. And shegave me a good solid year without complaint or argument. it would be a shame if she had to go.

Could very well be. Inspect it closely, and the wiring, to see if there's any obvious damage.

Welcome to Fireblades, too!

For some reason I was used to grab the brake lever before engaging first gear when stopped at a light on my zxr750. It started to kill the engine just some times. It came up to have a short on the brake bulb. Go figure.
But I agree with RR, it could be the switch at the stand since you abuse it.
Good luck.

I dunno guys. I propped my 929 on the stand all the time, like he said, for tight spots as well as lubing the chain and never had any issues. How long was the bike running when it died each time?
