Resonator Chambers

Hi Guys.

The CBR600RR race bike I've recently bought is missing one of the resonator chambers. This is the triangular hollow piece of plastic that attached to the bottom of the ram air intake, and supposedly reduces induction noise.

Since it was missing one, I just took them both off and duct taped the hole up.

Is there any issue with doing this?

Cheers for any help.

Re: Resonator Chambers

Mine not only doesn't have those resonators, it doesn't have the resonators in the airbox.
They reduce noise and add weight.
Why keep them?
