600rr stalling

I have a 2004 600RR and I have run into a problem:
When I start it up it starts fine and runs at around 1500 rpm idle while it warms up. When I ride it and come to a light or stop sign and pull the clutch in it shuts off and when i go to start it, it will not start without me constantly giving it a bit of throttle. When it finally does start up and i let off the throttle it idles very low at around 600 to 700 rpm. I am confused cause i thought it was the battery so i charged it and then tried to ride it but as soon as I come to any stop it turns it self off. Anyone know what is the problem cause I cant figure it out?
