| Lowering seat height Hey I was wondering if anyone knows how I can lower my seat height? right now its at the stock 32.3 Inches and I am only 5ft 5inches so I am on my toes and makes starting on a hill very interesting. I want to lower it as much as possible so I can plant my feet well. |

| Re: Lowering seat height I used the adjustable dog bones made by myrtle west but i dont think they make em for the 600rr. Fairly easy to install. I would probably only drop 1 1/2 inch max. Dont forget to drop the forks through the tripples to compensate and make sure you modify the kickstand. |

| Re: Lowering seat height On my F3 I just lower the front end an inch but loosing the triple tree and sliding the forks up the tree then retightening. I still had to toe touch alittle but you get over it. On a hill I just put my foot on the brake and didn't release until I can feel the clutch grab and the bike ready to move. |

| Re: Lowering seat height the bike i bought a year ago was owned by a short height fellow and he had the seat modified by having the foam resculpted. i am 6'3" so i decided to find a stock seat on ebay and fortunately i did. the bike also had the lowering dogbone and the forks were adjusted as well. i love the handling of this bike being lowered. i drive it to work about 20 miles one way on the freeway and it is a great ride. the one thing that i have to get done is to get the stand modified a bit more than what he had done because when it is parkedm on the street it is almost vertical and i am always nervous that it could fall over. can not seem to find who could do this. good luck on your adjustments. |

| Re: Lowering seat height Look in your area for a certified welder or welding shop. As long as you can describe what you want, the welder should be able to do it.
If you want someone who specifically works on motorcycles, look to you local custom chopper place as they weld motorcycle "things" on a consistent basis. |
