Salvage Value of CBR

Does anyone know the salvage value of a '05 600RR? I had mine get stolen last week, and in the process the guy that took it destroyed the bar lock, and managed to scratch every piece of plastic on it. Total cost to repair, 7400. So the insurance company is totaling it. Does anyone know the approximate cost it'll run me to get it back, as it's still completely raceable and would make an excellent track bike?!?

It's completely worthless. I'll take it off your hands for $20.

Re: Salvage Value of CBR

With insurance companies it does not go by a set value. What I mean by that is the buyback value is not related to the worth value of the bike. I think they randomly pick a number out of a hat and tell you what they want out of it.

Just ask them what they want to buy it back from them and if it is too high, offer them what you are willing to pay.

Re: Salvage Value of CBR

I was afraid of the 'randomness' factor... maybe they'll give it to me for 500. Wishful thinking... But it'd sure be nice!

Doubt it. The insurance company wantes something like $3,200 for my 954 and the only thing good on it was the blinkers.
