| Japanese CBR 600 F4i Already posted this in the general discussion forum but figure I would do it here now. I bought a 02 F4i from a buddy the the Air Force PCSed back from over seas. It is a full Japanese bike (all stickers indicating fluid types or chain tension is in Japanese), including a governor. The bike boogs down when gunned in first gear and even a little in second and tops out at 108. I know the bike has more in it because it was running at a smooth 6500 rpms at 108 mph. The bike didn't cut on and off like a car does when it hit its governor. I want the at least get this bike to what a stock american honda can do. I would love to tweek to its full limits, but that will come with time and money. I would appreciate any help or contacts that might be able to help. |

You shouldnt pay too much and that may be the issue. I know that the Japanes bikes are slower by a margin because of restrictions. So eah either US computer or german computer. |

| Re: Japanese CBR 600 F4i From what a japanese friend told me they are restircted to 100 hp. the rr version needs cams and the works. the 1k version just needs the ecu. hope yours only needs the ecu. you might want to check out if they have a hrc ecu for jap bikes. |

| Re: Japanese CBR 600 F4i Tried an american ecu already, no luck. Since the F4i is fuel injected it needs the fuel pump to more or less prime the system when the ignition s turned on,yeah well the american ecu i tried would not do that. It wouldn't run the fuel pump at all. |
