Front forks

Hi, I was trying to change my fork seals and I used a cheap set of hex keys (stupid stupid stupid) which absolutely rounded one of my bottom bridge pinch bolts on one of the fork legs. As a result I cant get the bolt off and cant get the slider or fork seal out to replace it. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the seal changed or somehow remove the defective bolt?

I believe they have a kit you can buy called EZout (sp?). I think that you drill a small bit into the bolt and it comes out pretty easily. I have never used it or personally seen it, but have heard about it. If you have enough room you could also dremmel a cut in the head of the bolt and then use a flat head screw driver to back it out. I am by no means a mechanic, nor am I mechanically inclined so good luck. You should also get an okay set of hex keys if yoou do your own maintenance. Cheap, but decent hand tools can be found at harborfreight.com

I did the samething about two weeks ago.. I went to honda and they removed it for about $25 bucks, kinda a rip but then again cheaper than replacing the fork.. the craftsmen idea is a good bet as well. good luck!

I know this is old but hey more info equals more help right? If I strip a screw I dont even mess with ez outs. Ive tried them and they just dont work for me. I just get a drill bit (good one), slightly bigger than the head of the bolt you want to take out, and drill it out. Just keep drilling and when you get close to the threaded part it will either pop off or just get some pliers and pull the head off. Works everytime with no bad results.
