rear axle bolt size

Hi All,

New honda owner here, I've just bought a 1998 cbr 600FW track bike. Could somebody please tell me what size socket I need to undo the rear axle bolt ?

Cheers

Tom

Re: rear axle bolt size

Thanks for the reply Pete,

I may be new, but I know that it definately isn't that small ! The largest socket I have is 24mm and this isn't even close to fitting. Are we talking about the same bolt ?

Re: rear axle bolt size

Sorry Tom, I was distracted (on the phone) when I wrote that; I should have said 32mm.

Re: rear axle bolt size

Ok, for anybody who comes across this post in the future using the search facility .... the answer to my original question is 27mm ! Do not go out and buy a 32mm socket to perform this task !
