Not owned? Any oil based on your temperature range should be nice. I believe Honda suggest 7500 miles in between oil changes but that may seem a bit long. 5000 always seems like a good number or go seasonal and change in the middle of the summer. Synthetics are fine, dino-based oils are great too. I think the most important thing is the frequency of oil change.

Nope, Born again biker, and a CBR came up at just the right time, and after 40mins on it, decided that a m/cross style was great when I was 17 but not now

I've had quote from 2-4K oil change intervals for all sports bikes, with the high stress they run compared to the low BHP 500's and such like.

Thanks muchly

If you take anything from this thread take this!! It never hurts to change the oil. I do mine just like my cars, every 3000 miles. Most tell me thats way too often and that I'm just blowing my money but I figure the ol "Ounce of prevention" saying applies here
