Which year?

Let me start off by saying hello to all. I have been looking for a bike for a few months now, Im looking at the CBR 600 of course, my question is what years have been really good? what years have they not been so good? Im looking for something around 98. Is that a good year or should i get a newer one? I only want to spend around 3 to 3.5 grand on the bike.

Thanks

Re: Which year?

98's will probably be carburated while slightly newer will gain you FI. Is one better than the other, yes what one is better... depends on who you ask. The price you are looking at should net you a decent bike.

Oh come on now,..It's not like carbeurated bikes are suddenly taboo. They suited us fine for many years before fuel injected bikes were introduced.

True they did a fine job but then you have jets and needles and countless other things that can be outta wack on the carb. FI is just easier IMO
