Problem with starting up my bike

Greetings, I have a cbr600f4i 2002 the thing is i dropped it and a fissure was made to the stator cover, had the cover fixed, and reinstalled it, but now the bike won't start up, maybe you could help me...before i take the cover off, the bike ran and driven well, but now nothing, the battery was almost dead because i took a long time to fix it, but i putted a booster to fix that, now all the indicators light up right, the FI turns off, the gas pump souns good, but when i push the igniton switch there's only a sound like when a DC motor turns (I think is the starter motor that is running with no load on its axis, or maybe the gas pump works when you startup the bike i'm not sure), but then nothing the engine doesn't even try to move to startup. Maybe something came loose whe i took off the cover, a pinion or something; i also moved what i think is the flywheel but it just turned clockwise because counter clockwise movement was impossible, i think this is why somebody asked if his affects timing in the bike. I hope you could help me. Thanks!

Re: Problem with starting up my bike

I don't think turning that will hurt anything as far as timing goes. Now as far as why the bike isn't turning over sorry but I don't know, its not something stupid like the kill switch is it? (not calling you stupid just saying its one of those stupid things that is easily overlooked)

Re: Problem with starting up my bike

No it was not the kill switch, i found what the problem was, the pinion that gives transmission from the starter motor, to the attack pinion of the starter clutch have a shaft that guides it through, i left the bike a long time sitted on the sidestand with the cap off, so i guess the bike moved and the pin came off, i don't have a pin, and there's no one here where i live that has the original spare part for the bike (just what i needed) jajaja! I'd like to know if someone has had that pin measured or knows a link that has the pin measures, it's a pin with a hole in the middle i think it's build of stainless steel 10-14, i'll have to make one here but i'd like to know a few things first, like if it turns with the pinion, or if just the pinion turns and the pin stands. Maybe somebody knows about this! Thanks in advance.

After work I'll see if I can find something about that pin in the manual, if it will give me the specs I'll be happy to pass them on.

Sorry bud, just looked through the service manual and it only talks about that dowel pin enough to say take it out and reinstall it. Doesn't give any dimensions of it at all.
