2006 600RR Turn Signal Fuse

Where is this turn signal fuse? It seems to be wired to the horn switch as well.

After installing an integrated tail light I lost the turn signals and horn, I'm guessing it was a fuse because I did cross a ground during the install.

A link to a wiring diagram would be nice. Thank you guys!

there really aren't that many fuses in the box, plus aren't they actually labeled on the inside of the lid (I'm pretty sure mine is anyway).

Under the dirvers seat, towards the back, they are very hard to get at on this model. I Like where they were on my 1997 gsxr much better! were mounted nicely right up front easy access.

These newer bikes are almost to compact if you need to work on them.

Re: 2006 600RR Turn Signal Fuse

I found the 30A main fuse under the seat near the battery but I cannot locate any of the other fuses.

I'm guessing there is a secondary fuse box somewhere. Also, I found this wiring diagram for a 2003, but it's no help.

Re: 2006 600RR Turn Signal Fuse

next to the battery you will find....

you will have a Main 30A
FI fuse 20A

other fuses 10A, 20A located behind left middle fairing.
Take out clip and loosen screw, can gte right at it behind the left side fairing.

hope that helps.

Re: 2006 600RR Turn Signal Fuse

I'm new here so try to go easy on my first post...
I know this may be alittle different b/c of the year, but I have a switch from a 2003 CBR600R and I'm trying to figure out the wires from the turn siganl component inside the switch housing.
3 on the top
1 in the middle and
2 on the bottom of the component.

top 3 are from left to right= blue, pickish?, and orange
middle is black w/ orange stripe ( i thought this was a ground?)
bottom 2= orange w/ white stripe, blue w/ white stripe.

I'm asking this b/c I'm trying to adapt this to my XR 600 which never had signals, so I wasn't sure if some of these are not needed, or what they even go to.

I figured at least 2 must be for lights on the dash to indicate when your flashers are on
another one must be a ground
and another one must be power in,
but I can't seem to figure how many wires I actually need to make the signals work, or that matter which ones to connect to.
Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks maybe I should put this in the electrical forum?

Re: 2006 600RR Turn Signal Fuse

hey,

well be easier if I couid look at it lol, so let me get this straight you want to use this switch, with these wires coming out of it to run turn signals?

If so the colors are for the model of bike that this switch was hooked up to. so those colors woudl have coinsided with that bike electrical schematic. this case you want it to work on this bike colors do not matter as long as u remember what wire you are using for each hookup.

all you should need i woudl think to use is a wire for power, ground, left and right. whcih the 2 for left and right will be tied to the 3 to light them on the instrument cluster.

do not know if i helped you or not, but yah can't be any worse off then you are now.

Re: 2006 600RR Turn Signal Fuse

well, if the left and right are tied to another wire to signal the light, then that must be the top three, b/c there is a middle wire between two others, while the bottom row has only two wires. What I'm gona try and do is use a continuity tester and try and find which line is power, then I can test each wire while activating the signal, and once the continuity tester beeps, I'll knowwhich wire goes to what.

yea fr me it doesn't matter what colors are going to what, I just want it to work.

Now I'm looking at this switch and it doesn't seem to ground out to the handle bars by clamping onto them. so there must be a wire for ground, correct? Its just weird b/c every other switch that I have seen so far has a metal tab which touches the handle bars once it is clamped on so its self grounding, but I'm not sure how the bars are on a street bike so I'm alittle confused.
Thanks for the halp so far though

Re: 2006 600RR Turn Signal Fuse

Ok, so i just did an continuity test, what I came up w/ is this:
black w/ orange stripe is power in
bottom right is power out for the left signal
bottom left is power out for right signal ( seems backward huh?)
the top 3 I can't seem to get anything, seems weird.
I'll see what else I can come up w/.
