| Bike wont start I have just purchased a 02' Cbr F4i.. Bike ran jus fine.. Was waiting for the weather to break so I could see what it could do. Got my chance two days ago. I rode for about 6hrs wit a few of my friends. about two hours before we were finished I noticed all four of my low fuel lights were flashing so we jumped off e-way and I filled up. Got home put bike up. Next day I went to start it and it wouldn't turn over.. I can no longer hear that fuel pump noise when I flip on the run switch.. Does this mean my fuel pump is bad or should I be looking else where????? Please help me best you can.. I also checked Fuses and they were all fine.. |

| Re: Bike wont start I have service manual to help me pinpoint.. I jus have to get a voltage regulator so I can test and see if it is the fuel pump.. all connections look good tho.. Purchased bike last month with 9910 miles and it seemed to be well maintained |

The battery would make the fuel pump not prime? |

| Re: Bike wont start If the batt is low enough it won't prime the pump. Make sure your connections are clean and tight.
Check the kill switch on the right handle bar. Make sure it is fully in the on position. I would flip it back and forth a bit, corrosion can build up on these contacts easily.
Did you do anything out of the ordinary when you put it up after the last ride?
These things are often simple problems. Good luck! |

| Re: Bike wont start Nothing unusual at all.. NO corrosion at all. All lights come on and and doesn't seem to be a low battery problem. Won't no 4 shore tho til tommorow when I get a voltage meter |

| Re: Bike wont start Ok I've established ITS NOT THE BATTERY!! Boils down to Maybe the Fuel Cutoff Relay. Checked all Connections and got pump to prime manually so I no fuel pump is good.. Thats $400 still in my pocket .. Bad part is I have to order it which means I will miss out on the 73 degrees predicted 4 2mar which SUCKS!! so bad.. I used a Jumper wire at the fuel cut relay and fuel pump jus kept making priming noise.. BIKE STILL WOULDN"T START even tho I had pump on.. Does anyone no Is this because it was constantly priming?????? |

| Re: Bike wont start Are you actually getting fuel into the intakes from the fuel pump? Maybe a pluged line? Even a little water in the fuel will make it not start. Just thoughts |

| Re: Bike wont start I had a similar problem with my 954. My problem turned out to be a bad ground wire. When I turned the key on no fuel pump it would crank and crank put not turn over. Then I noticed the headlight wasn't on and the turn signals didn't work. I checked the voltage with a voltmeter to find I wasn't getting a ground. I put a wire from the black wire on the headlight to the forks and like magic bike started right up. I ran through the wires and replaced one wire and bike is great again. |
