F3 fuel pump

Just wondering if there is anything I should know about replacing my fuel pump, or is it just a matter of putting back on what I take off. For instance if it ok for air to get in the system? Thanks for the help.

Re: F3 fuel pump

Yes it is fine for air to end up in the system. Also if the F3 fuel lines use banjo bolts that are similar to the F4i then it uses crush washers in between that you should not reuse. Since the F3 is carbureted there isn't any specific thing that you need to be aware of. I have never done a fuel pump on a bike but I have done them on a lot of vehicles. I read the manual for the F4i and all it says is to replace those crush washers.
