Basic Mods

Hello to ya'll, I'm new to this, but I am kind of getting how it works......I just bought an '02 F4i, and was wondering what is the best exhaust (include performance and sound), and do I have to get it remapped if I get an aftermarket exhaust, also what other BASIC mods should I consider? Any statements would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Basic Mods

Just don't buy a D&D (deaf and deafer). Yes a PC3 will be good remap.

Basic mods to consider? How about making sure the controls are all in place to fit you? How about taking a MSF ERC and then a track school? The best mod to make is to make the computer in your helmet work better. Then see if you really need 2 or 3 more horsepower that you might get from an exhaust.

Don't forget to have FUN!!!

Re: Basic Mods

Best performance upgrade from what I hear is SS brake lines. I just picked up an '02 F4i last summer and it is absolutely stock. SS brake lines is the first thing on my list for this spring. Actually, I guess they will be second, I'm going to upgrade to some track ready leathers first. The brake lines would be cheaper.
