Toggle the ignition switch a few dozen times to "bump" the fuel pump and fill the carbs. Its a diaphram type.

It won't start running continuously with the engine off as a safety feature.

i toggled the throttle many times and it wouldnt start so i took the air filter off and dumped a little gas in the things under the filter and it still wont start. i thought i flooded the **** out of it so i turned the gas off and let it sit overnight and tryed in the morning...morning came and still nothing. it was working fine before we ran the reserve out. i have no idea what to do next.

Is the pump connected and working properly? Check the fuses. Use some ether in the ait intake. Ether will always cause a fire.

Are the carbs full of fuel? If not, there's a fuel line from them to the fuel pump. Something's keeping it from getting in your engine.

Re: bike wont start pls help!!

well i finally got it started thanks for all the help everybody. i was spraying carb cleaner in the carb and then i busted the fuel line so i had to take the tank off and go buy another line. then i decided to try to start it with the carb cleaner again so i opened the throttle up and sprayed cleaner in all of them. then the straw fell into the carberator so i had to take the carberator apart just to get the damn straw out. i got the straw out and tryed to start it and it started for a couple seconds so i put the tank back on and now it starts. hell i dunno what the problem was but it turned out to be a pain in the ass. im just glad i finally got it started. thanks everyone

Re: bike wont start pls help!!

You saved that poor little straw from certain destruction! As a kind token of its gratitude, the grateful straw fixed your bike.

Re: bike wont start pls help!!

I don't know if this will help but maybe it will save you some ass pain in the future but since you were trying all those things to start the bike I would pull the plugs and clean them off. The excess fuel could have burned off and it might not be a problem but next time you have the tank off save your self some future fustration and clean the plugs.
