| lowered front = more oil? i lowered the front of my 06' f4i 3/4" for quicker steering. do i need to run more than the recommended amount of oil now to make up for rotating the engine slightly forward. i don't want to starve my engine for oil? thanks |

| Re: lowered front = more oil? ya you should be fine. The oil pan is pretty deep on the f4i and the pick up sits in it deep also. I run 1/2 quart extra in mine and run it on the 12 bar all day, rev limiter tricks etc. Motor is rotated 90 degrees and Never had a problem. For as little as your engine rotated you'll have no problem. |

| Re: lowered front = more oil? but you are better off raising the rear to make it turn faster.

| Re: lowered front = more oil? I think that the oil pick up is in the front of the pan anyway so you might be helping your cause. Could be wrong about that but I think that is what I heard.

| Re: lowered front = more oil? not really in front of the pan, it is on the gsxr's and probably other bikes, more towards the back on the f4i but it sits low in the pan so you'll be fine.
you could always add a little extra if you wanted it wont hurt anything just dont get carried away. I buy a gallon of oil and use it all every oil chage been doing it since 01 on same motor stunt ridden since day one. |

Now there's a used bike I'd like to buy some day... | The ad on eBay will say something like, "adult owned and driven, mostly freeway miles from commuting to work, small marks from being tipped over in the garage by the neighbors cat (hardly noticeable), never ridden in the rain, absolutely never raced or stunted, oil changed every 1000 miles with Amsoil full synth."
Then question from prospective buyer will be, "do you have all maintenance records?"
Reply, "No, the neighbors cat pissed on them, but I PROMISE I changed the oil every 1000 miles."
