throttle knob? cbr 600 f3

I finally got my bike up and going and I went to adjust my throttle stop screw?
I guess that what its called located on the right side of my bike near the gas reserve knob. And it came loose cable and all. I looked down on top of the engine and noticed a spring which must have been on the screw at the end of the cable. How do I get it screwed back in. I tried to see where it might go but no idea. I tried to take of the sides and the gas tank off but it is a pain to see down there sense the tank gas pipes are so short. Any Ideas?? diagrams or pictures? a little help?

I have a f2 service manual but if some of the stuff is the same, let me know and you can use, but other than that I don't know

Do you have in your manual where the throttle stop screw goes? Thats my problem. I was adjusting the screw and it came out of something, carb? maybe.

Re: throttle knob? cbr 600 f3

It comes out of the bottom of the carb. It will not be easy to get it screwed back in without loosening the carbs. If you can get your hands in there after removing the tank and air filter housing it goes into the middle of the carbs underneath at an angle of about 25 degrees. It just screws in with the spring on the end.

I have some pictures at home of a rebuild that I did and it should show that location. I will post them later tonight maybe.

Re: throttle knob? cbr 600 f3

thanks for your help I was able to figure it out yesterday. I removed the gas tank and found the place on the 3rd carb where the throttle stop screw went.
finally my bike is up and running again.
