Replace the head gasket???

If someone could help me out with this.

I pulled the head on my F4 the other day to remove a broken valve cover bolt. While talking tho the guy at the dealership he said that I "had" to replace the head gasket after removing the head.

There is no damage to the metal gasket material, is there another reason I should pay 50 bucks for a new gasket? I've already spent a bundle on other repairs and I would hate to spend another 50 if there wasn't a good reason for it.

ONCE YOU OPEN THE HEAD IT IS VERY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU REPLACE THE HEAD GASKET 50$ ITS NOT A BUNDLE AND YOU WILL SLEEP BETTER AT NIGHT

I used aviation sealant on mine and reused it. Its worked for 20,000 miles for me. But for you, it could leak coolant into the oil, spin a bearing, and toss a rod through the gas tank.

You have to ask the question, "do I feel lucky?"
