FI light CBr 600F4i

the other day i went to take a quick scoot down the street and i noticed that my FI light was on. i immediately took it home and checked all the wires and plugs to make sure everything was hooked up correctly, and as i thought everything was. because of that i took it on a little rip down the street again and the bike seemed to be running perfectly but the light was still on. i went back home afterwards and jumped the wires underneath the seat and it gave me a code for the MAP sensor, i thought that if that sensor was bad that the bike wouldnt run at all. can anyone kick me some feedback on what they think it could be?? the light only blinks when im standing still and then stays on (no blinking) when im riding it. is it bad that i rode it like that?? anyone who can help me i would greatly appreciate it. thanks

well it seems obvious that the bike will in fact run if thats messed up. Try resetting the ECM and see if it will throw you the same code. If it does... replace the MAP Sensor and enjoy the warm air.

hhmmm, just did a quick search in the service manual and its not telling me how to reset it. perhaps a quick call to the dealership will clear this up for you. They should be willing to give you that info over the phone.
You can try disconnection the neg on the battery for a little while to see if that will do it for ya.

Re: FI light CBr 600F4i

I have a similar situation, my FI lights only comes on when i drive past 55 mph. Ive driven around the block but doesnt come on. Only when i get on the freeway, but once i turn the bike off and turn it back on the light goes away. Could my speed sensor be the problem? my speedo at the current time does not work.
please help

*dont intend to thread jack you.

when the light is on, does it flash a code at you?
One long flash = 10
one short flash = 1

^ it doesnt seem to blink, stays on until i turn off the bike. but when i turn it back on light goes away.

When should i look for the blink?? right when it turns on, while riding?? or should i just let it idle and look for the blink??
