| Speedometer is off Hi, I picked up a 2001 f4i recently and noticed that the speedometer is off about 10mph. Does anyone know what might be causing this? I'm not sure whether or not the sprocket has been changed (how many teeth are supposed to be there?) When I bought it they said it was all stock. Any ideas on what else might cause this? NOTE: It IS in MPH not KPH  | |

| Re: Speedometer is off All bikes are off. The faster you go the more you are off. Even stock. If you want to correct it you need to get a speedo healer or yellow box. |

| Re: Speedometer is off I'd guess it's not stock gearing if you're off by 10 mph. Most bike's speedos are from 5-10% off from the factory. |

| Re: Speedometer is off The bike has a salvage title and I dont know how bad the damage was. The frame and everything is perfectly straight but there is some scrapes on the fairings. Could be some unseen damage or they might have replaced parts with aftermarket. |

| Re: Speedometer is off I rode next to my truck and held the bike at 40MPH and the truck was read at 30MPH. |

| Re: Speedometer is off My bike is off by 10MPH at those speeds, I'm down one tooth in the front. Stock gearing for an 02 F4i if 16/46 and would assume it would be the same with your bike. |
