| Re: How hard can it be I have a '77 Chevy that I wanted a new engine for so I went out bought a '75 Chevy that had a good running engine but the transmission and truck were trashed. I pulled the engine and did a rebuild with a lot of improvements all by following the manual. Up until then my experience was limited to water pumps, alternators, brakes, etc. If you are mechanical enough to know the difference between needle nose pliers and channel locks then you should be fine.
