| Re: 2002 F4i not starting Do you have a wire tester to see if voltage is getting to your fuel pump (if there is than the pump is dead but that wouldn't really explain the headlight now would it....).
If you turn the key to run or start or whatever the hell where the fuel pump should normally prime and just leave the bike on the side stand, watch the lights to see if any start blinking. If they do its sending you an error code. a long blink is = to 10 and a short blink is equal to 1. so one long blink and three short would be code 13. If its sending one post it and I'll look it up for you. |

| Re: 2002 F4i not starting hey not sure if you figured this prob out yet..had same prob with my 04 f4i..under the front cowl is a large(1 inch by 1/2 inch)grey wire connecter.in this wire connecter, try and push the wires together and see if this corrects the problem...on my bike the connection on a green wire was bad thru the connecter....i wired around it and has worked fine for almost 2000 miles since..injected bikes are backwards wired, this green wire is a ground,if it isnt making a good connection then nothing recieves a good ground...still recieves power, but not a good ground....hope this helps!!chris |

| Re: 2002 F4i not starting Yea I couldn't figure It out so I took it to the dealer and they got it running for 250.00$ and didn't tie any wires back where they belong just left them hanging against the forks I was a little hot! They were rubing the forks on the way home I had to rip it all apart when i got home. It kind of sounds like the same plug it was just coroided ,think it was the only plug I didn't look at. I don't think they will touch my bike again they cant even put it the way they found it. |
