Fuel problem/question.

Maybe some people here can help with what I have going on....

My fuel reserve light stays on constantly, even with a full tank. Anyone have an idea of what the issue may be? I've even swapped out clusters, so I'm guessing it's some fuel sensor/relay or something along those lines thats faulty..... but I don't see anything like that in the Honda microfiche. Maybe I'm wrong? But I would like to get it resolved soon, because I'm tired of looking down and seeing the stupid thing flashing at me. I don't have a problem with running out of gas since I use my mileage gauge to tell me when its time to fill up again. But its quite annoying.....

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Fuel problem/question.

If your fuel sensor is anything like my 2000f4, you should be able to pull the two wires from it and the light should go off. It looks like a plug with two terminals from the bottom.

I'd take it out, look at it, and if nothing is stuck to it, replace it.

Re: Fuel problem/question.

my 02 does this as well. I bought a new fuel pump off of ebay for $15 (since it contains the sensor) to replace it, just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. You can jumper the wires to make sure it will come on, If it comes on on the cluster than you are left with replacing the fuel pump (assuming that there are no other shorts in your wires).
