| Temperature Hey,
I was wondering what you guys are averaging for your temps around town and while out on roads. I think mine might be running a little hot.
Im staying at 175-180 road.
200-230 in town at lights. |

270F is when the overflow cap vents. |

| Re: Temperature I was just curious because a buddy of mine has an '04 R6 and it never went over 180 (even in town).
Thanks for the reply. |

| Re: Temperature I do not detect my 00 RC fan coming on at 217 f. The fan usually stays on until 206 f when shut down. Not happening now.
I tested the motor fan switch by grounding it to the bike with power on, cold, and the fan worked. I almost replaced the switch but another rider at the dealer said he had the same problem on a cbr1000 but a new battery fixed that. My batt. is 7 years old, I need $125 to find out if that is the problem.
The switch did get continuity when heated on the stove. |

| Re: Temperature mine will normally run 180-190 on the road will go to about 220 if I'm at a light long enough. Not sure when my fan kicks on, I have a toggle switch wired into my setup so that I can turn it on whenever I want or wait for the bike to turn it on. If I see my temp above 200 and I'm in town I go ahead and turn it on then |
