| Re: 2003 600RR Forks - Stock height above triples? Thanks, I was able to find out. The top line on the forks should be even with the top of the triple. |

| Re: 2003 600RR Forks - Stock height above triples? Thanks a lot for the offer! But since the 600RR is up for sale now, I probably won't have a need for it. |

| Re: 2003 600RR Forks - Stock height above triples? Actually, if I can't figure out a riding position that doesn't kill my back after a 300+ mile day, I might be getting rid of the ST as well. Had the seat customized which helped with ass issues; that part is fine now. Now, just my back... Never had that issue in the crouched position.... Might just have to lay down on the tank bag every now and then... |

| Re: 2003 600RR Forks - Stock height above triples? My biggest complaint was that my tailbone took a beating with the stock seat. I also have less back problems with my 929 because of the crouched position. But when I tell people that, they look at me like I'm BSing them.
I'm waiting for a huge tax return from the state. I'm going to get a full Traxxion suspension upgrade for the GL. It will turn the conventional telescopic front end into a cartridge unit.
I'll bet Max makes a set-up for the ST. You might want to look into it.
Back to the back issue; If you can get a back rest that you don't mind the look of, it would surely save your back.

| Re: 2003 600RR Forks - Stock height above triples? Spencer's Seat Mods. The modification Spencer makes to the stock seats works wonders for the ass and tailbone, so I'm good there. Yeah, a backrest may be in order. We need to take another long ride on it so my wife can see how the modified passenger seat works for her. If she's still uncomfortable I'll have to look into maybe trying a Sargent, or just giving up and selling the bike. Not sure if I want to throw another $550 at it right now.
But, if she's happy with the rear seat, I may look into adding a backrest for me as well. |

| Re: 2003 600RR Forks - Stock height above triples? Have you ridden a GL1800?
Don't laugh till you try it. You'd be amazed how many 600s and motards I pass on goat path type roads. And with new racing suspension, it'll only get better. Plus, the GL does not get as hot as the ST.

| Re: 2003 600RR Forks - Stock height above triples? I haven't had any of the heat issues some complain about... Even after my trip this past Saturday where it was 96F in the shade, and the temp was 100 for most of my ride home.
And the GL is just too expensive and too big for me at this time. If we can't make the ST work, we were talking about just going without bikes for a while, until we get into our new house, then look around to see what's out there. |

| Re: 2003 600RR Forks - Stock height above triples? I had even mentioned replacing all three bikes with an S2000, but didn't get too far with that yet. Again, maybe after the new house... |

Are you staying in the same area, or are you looking for a change?

| Re: 2003 600RR Forks - Stock height above triples? Same area... I still have my house in a town about 45 minutes away also, so we're going to put some money into it to fix it up and put it on the market, then sell our house here, and get one big house. (The one here is the one my wife owned before we got married, so we've outgrown it.) |
