How much oil (if any) should a fairly new F4i burn through in 2500 miles?

2003 F4i: 5000 total miles.
Oil change about 2500 miles ago. Just tried to see the oil level in the right side glass viewport but not sure I could see anything. Between my lousy eyes and the lighting in the garage is bad. I'll take it outside and see if natural light helps.
I'm not burning any oil as far as I can tell; no exhaust smoke. Engine is tight as far as I know and I don't abuse it; most of it's life is spent at 5000/8000 rpm.
Is there a chance I could have gone through enough oil in 2500 miles such that I couldn't see the level in the oil level view port?
Thanks,
Don.

I bought my F4i with 600 miles on it and it now has 5600. In that time I have never seen the oil level vary one bit from where I put it at when I fill it after an oil change. It is difficult to see and much easier if you have help to hold the bike level while you get down to the right level to look. A small penlight helps.
