F2 regulator or stator problems

Hey guys, I have a 1994 CBR F2, and I just blew my second bulb in a week so I check the regulator and of course, 18V. Now the last bulb lasted 4 months or so, and this is the third regulator. I'm checking that stator tomorrow, but when I blew the first regulator I looked around and I thought there were suggestions on using a Yamaha or Suzuki R/R. Anyone have any experience with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: F2 regulator or stator problems

Try the higher end aftermarket reg/rect for the F2 with the BIG heat sink. It is rearely the stator unless the bike has seen road rash and been jarred. The stock and most aftermarket replacements can barely keep up with the stock system and frequently fail. Make sure your battery cables arent loose either as it can cause a stock regulator/Rectifier to prematurely fail with an overcharge.
