| Re: 1992 CBR600F Parts? Your best bet is eBay... or the Wera forums who still have a F2 class racing. You might be able to get someones garage parts for chaep. |

| Re: 1992 CBR600F Parts? Hey guys, is it true that F2 parts will fit on my 92 F1? If you can't tell I'm definitely not a know it all when it comes to this stuff. |

| Re: 1992 CBR600F Parts? For the most part, F1 and F2 parts are incompatible. There are some exceptions I believe. For instance, I think the F1 can be retrofitted with F2 forks if the entire front end is swapped at the neck. |

| Re: 1992 CBR600F Parts? well if its a 1992, its an F2. so... and from your thumbnail it looks like an f2.
i believe that pre 1991 is an F, 91 - 94 is an F2, 95 - 98 is an F3, 99- 01? is F4, 01? - present is F4i
the drastically changed body style of the f3 in 97 and 98 so i know those have some different parts.
to the most part, that i know, F2 and F3 parts are basically the same. even look at the service manual's, they all say F2, F3... so not much differences.
good luck |

| Re: 1992 CBR600F Parts? I bought a banged up (but structurally sound) F1 (88) a back in july and have spent at least 1000 on ebay but its in top notch shape, i probably would have paid 6000+++ if i had gotten them through a dealer
also before you get in over your head you might want to re-evaluate your purchase before you dump a lot of money into it, its VERY easy to switch out the gauge cluster in these bikes from say 80,000 miles to x-20,000 miles, have you had it safety inspected? has a mechanic gave it a good look over? there are a lot of newer bikes that you could buy for probably around the same that you paid (im guessing 2kish) without the inherent risk of a 15 year old bike for someone who hasnt learned the ins and outs of motorcycle mechanics yet |

| Re: 1992 CBR600F Parts? Thanks for the advise. I didn't just purchase the bike without having it checked out. My husband is very mechanically inclined when it comes to motorcycles. He just weren't sure about Honda models as he is all about Suzuki's. Currently he has a Hayabusa 1300... if only he'd share.. LOL I guess he doesn't want to me kill myself. |
