| Re: Electric Help well its not a true alternator, its a generator. and the 3 yellow wires that come out of your "stator" is AC current. to check your stator turn the bike off, take off plug from rectifier/regulator and measure the ohm resistance between the yellow wires. i believe its supposed to be between .1 and 1 ohm between em all... you have wire 1-2-3 test 12, 13, and 23. if they read more, your stator could be bad.
the rectifer/regulator is what changes the AC current to DC current to charge your bike. with the regular/rectifer connected should run about 13 volts @ idle and 14 volts @5000rpm (about)
if your bike is not charging the usual suspect is the rectifer/regulator they are notorious for failing on F2,F3's. anyway good luck.
