Electrical question on '99 CBR F4

I have a track bike that I bypassed the ignition(actually a friend of mine worked the electrical part of the bike for me) so I wouldn't need a key to start it. When the bike sits for more than a week with the power off my battery goes dead. Even though I did away with all my lights(headlight, tail/brake light, turn signals, and running light) and use the kill switch as my on/off switch I assume that something is still drawing power from the battery(maybe the fuel pump constantly being primed)? But I'm trying to find the fuse that would kill power to the ignition switch. I think I found it. If someone could confirm this I would appreciate it. It should be a 10 amp fuse located under the seat. Thing is, when I pulled the fuse my gauge lights still came on when I turned my kill switch to the "on" position. If I pulled the correct fuse shouldn't there be no power at all going to any part of the bike? If someone could help me out I would appreciate any input.

P.S. A buddy of mine told me I should be looking for the main fuse(a 30 amp fuse). Is this correct?

How old is the battery? Try connecting a Battery Tender to it when it won't be ridden for awhile.

Re: Electrical question on '99 CBR F4

I just purchased the battery a few weeks ago. I have it on a charger right now so the bike will fire up when I hook it back up tonight. But something's still causing it to drain after a week to 2 weeks of not running.

Even though you bought the battery new it could still be weak. Did you charge the battery when you first got it?

Re: Electrical question on '99 CBR F4

Yes I did.

Anyway, I found the main fuse(there's actually a plug there), disconnected it for now. That should keep the battery from being drained...hopefully.

Thanks for providing some input into this though.
