| Electrical question on '99 CBR F4 I have a track bike that I bypassed the ignition(actually a friend of mine worked the electrical part of the bike for me) so I wouldn't need a key to start it. When the bike sits for more than a week with the power off my battery goes dead. Even though I did away with all my lights(headlight, tail/brake light, turn signals, and running light) and use the kill switch as my on/off switch I assume that something is still drawing power from the battery(maybe the fuel pump constantly being primed)? But I'm trying to find the fuse that would kill power to the ignition switch. I think I found it. If someone could confirm this I would appreciate it. It should be a 10 amp fuse located under the seat. Thing is, when I pulled the fuse my gauge lights still came on when I turned my kill switch to the "on" position. If I pulled the correct fuse shouldn't there be no power at all going to any part of the bike? If someone could help me out I would appreciate any input.
P.S. A buddy of mine told me I should be looking for the main fuse(a 30 amp fuse). Is this correct? |
