need help 98 cbr600 f3 starting bike

need help 98 cbr600 f3 starting bike

as soon as i put the key in the headlight comes on but when i turn the key i hear a click next to the battery and lights go out and its dead! checked fuses and two fuses located directly behind the battery box after doing so the lights came back on again and when i turned the key it died again... anybody help

Dead battery. Bump start it.
